- May 09, 2013 The PAC SNI-35 is OK if your stock radio has a remote turn-on lead. If not, you should probably look at the PAC TRUNK-LOC. It still a 2-channel line output converter but also includes a trigger output to power on your amp.

This product does exactly what you expect. I tapped into the rear speaker signals (line level) to add RCAs to intergrate a sub in the trunk. I exposed the speaker wire by splicing the shielding, looped the line output converter around the speaker wire, and soldered the connection. I did this for the left and right, both positive and negative signals. I did not need to use the ground wires on the LOC. I had to set the gain on the LOC quite high, as I think it's a combination of the zero or +1 level of the bass I'm sending to the rear speakers from the head unit, plus I'm fighting with bass roll off from the factory system. This LOC will not fight bass roll off, only something like the Audiocontrol LCi2 or better with 'Accu-bass' will help fight this. All in all, this unit gets the job done, and PAC has been around a while, so I trust their products. This is a decent unit - average build quality, but doesn't look like it will fall apart or fail.
